    Teeth

So - I was wondering how long is normal as a gap between milk teeth falling out and adult teeth starting to emerge? Eleanor's front teeth fell out AGES ago - at least 3 months - and so far not a sign of anything to replace it. Should I be concerned about the lack of teeth growing? Or is a long gap fairly normal?

In my own kids, it was fairly instantaneous, with the new teeth practically pushing out the baby teeth, but I don't know what would be considered 'normal'.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

It was with my eldest too, which is why I am slightly concerned that months down the line there are no teeth appearing....

A dentist can see if there are any there, in an xray. DD1 has a missing tooth, it's just not there, and he has done an xray already and is fairly certain the adult one isn't there either. So if you are very worried, get an xray but I am sure it is there and even if it isn't there is apprarently stuff they can sort.

Ana has had a gap for a good 4 months now, she's had it before like that and it's come through. Probably worth checking though, for your own peace of mind!

On an unrelated/kinda related note... I have never heard of adults having milk teeth. Until the other day when my receptionist showed me the 3 milk teeth she still has with the adult teeth neatly grown in behind.

    Sorry - as you were.

My father in law had his milk teeth removed at the age of 30 in order to free up space to allow his adult teeth to come through, which they did with no problems. Funny things, teeth.
