I'm having a week full of them!
Thomas has had one for a couple of years, he's struggled with his literacy. Today I got a letter saying they think he's made considerable progress and no longer needs one, so I'm really relieved about that, and proud of him because he's put so much effort in.
On the other hand, yesterday I had a meeting with Leo's teacher who's decided he needs to have one, as she believes he's not doing as well with phonics as he could be. Leo is 4 and has been in reception for 5 months, and already they're doing this? I mean I suppose it's good they keep and eye on these things, but I can't help thinking reception is a bit early for all this....
