Thumbs up Wish dd luck please !

She is taking part in the regional heat of the Eurotalk Junior Language Challenge tomorrow. Got through first stage in July, much to our surprise, having learnt Italian and has been doing Japanese ever since ! It's been tough going and tbh we don't have high hopes of her progressing further in the competition but we're very proud she has persisted and will get to represent her school (one of 5).

She's just 9 lol ! Competition is for under 11's. Some of it is pretty simple vocab but the phrases and time are complete gobbledigook to me ! There are bound to be some real language boffins at the "live" heats tomorrow but she'll be ok as long as she doesn't get cross with herself. dh is going along to support, encourage, mop tears ....

    Fantastic. Good Luck clever girl.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them.
