TONY ROSS AND LITTLE PRINCESS VISIT OXFORD STREET TO GIVE FAMILIES A ‘ROYAL’ TREAT

John Lewis rolls out the red carpet for Little Princess and world famous children’s author, Tony Ross, for storytelling on Friday 30 May 2008

Fans of the award-winning Little Princess preschool show and best selling international picture books can join their heroine and award-winning author and illustrator, Tony Ross, for an exclusive storytelling session on Friday 30 May at the John Lewis store on London’s Oxford Street. Open to the general public, this is one exciting in-store event guaranteed to get the royal seal of approval!

Celebrating the wonderful array of Little Princess books and her first ever toy range from Born to Play available to buy in-store, Tony Ross will be treating shoppers to exclusive storytelling sessions with the Little Princess character costume by his side bringing this blue blooded young royal to life. Each session will take 15 minutes starting at 12.00pm, 1.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm, followed by Tony Ross signing autographs and his best-selling Little Princess books for his royal fans to enjoy.

New Little Princess picture books I Don’t Like Salad!, I Don’t Want to Comb My Hair!, I Want a Shop!, and I Want to Go to the Fair! feature more endearing adventures for all the family to enjoy. Plus boys and girls can also treat themselves with the new range of Little Princess toys including cuddly toys of Little Princess and Gilbert and collectable beanies of character favourites like Puss and Scruff. Children can also enjoy the fun of the outdoors with the new Little Princess space hopper, bouncy castle and selection of wheeled toys including the Nessie Stick horse, based on the General’s hobby horse.

Based on the international best-selling children’s picture books by Tony Ross, the Little Princess TV series features the voice talents of international television and film star, Jane Horrocks and presenter/comedian, Julian Clary and is currently airing on FIVE’s Milkshake! weekdays at 6:45am.
